TOT MPOB 2023 to be held on July 6


Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will organise the Transfer of Technology (TOT) MPOB 2023 on July 6.


Director-General of MPOB Datuk Dr. Ahmad Parveez Hj. Ghulam Kadir said MPOB will introduce innovative technologies for the oil palm industry developed by its researchers.


“MPOB offers technologies in the palm oil industry that have the potential and value of commercialisation to be utilised by local industry players and entrepreneurs,” he said.


TOT is MPOB's annual event aimed to highlight latest technologies and services resulting from MPOB’s research and development (R&D) activities to local entrepreneurs and parties interested in exploring technology-based business opportunities in the palm oil industry.


Datuk Dr. Ahmad Parveez said the TOT 2023 will provide business opportunities to the Malaysian micro, small and medium industry entrepreneurs through the commercialisation of technology offered by MPOB.


According to him, MPOB is committed in carrying out R&D activities to produce new technologies and innovations that benefit the country’s oil palm industry.


Until 2022, a total of 712 technologies ang 194 services have been produced through R&D activities for the purpose of commercialisation and used by the industry and entrepreneurs.


The technologies developed by MPOB encompass the whole spectrum of oil palm industry from planting materials to palm-based food and non-food products.


Industry members, entrepreneurs and the public are invited to visit the TOT MPOB 2023 exhibition and interact with exhibitors at Dewan Sawit, MPOB Headquarters from 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and to join the Teh Tarik Session (MPOB technology commercialisation and business financing sharing session) starting at 2.15 p.m. Admission is free for all visitors.
